The Science and Technology Challenge: Knowledge and Technology Transfer for a Secure Nation

The science and technology challenge for the future has much to do with: 1) coordinating the right scientific knowledge with the development of the “right” technology that maintains our edge; and 2) sustaining a process where technology is consistently developed, prototyped and inserted into operational scenarios on a timely and cost efficient manner. Senior leaders in military, government and corporate research and development will discuss the challenges in they face in transferring knowledge and technology between DOD and DHS, matching R&D investment strategies to market needs and how to overcome the challenge of bridging the chasm between the “lab and operations.”
