It is clear that our first responders and emergency management personnel, as well as those on the front line of detecting and defending against those who seek to do harm to our nation need the best tools and solutions available to protect our communities and our way of life. Furthermore, it's clear that spatial technologies are a critical underpinning and enabler for those tools and solutions. These senior leaders will speak out on what's needed to establish a “geospatially-prepared” nation. Ubiquitous geospatial data is essential to enhancing homeland security while also meeting other critical economic and social needs. Achieving a condition of spatial data ubiquity requires that industry and government act on many specific challenges, such as governance, funding, procurement practices, standards, licensing models, and multi-jurisdictional planning and coordination. Panelists will identify important actions government and industry can take now where adequate consensus already exists, and will point out areas where further discussion and work are needed to achieve resolution. Confirmed Speakers:
Mr. Harry Voccola
The Honorable Lou Frey, Jr.
Mr. John Lueders
Mr. Jack Pellicci
Ms. Preetha Pulusani
Mr. Zsolt Nagy
Ms. Judith Woodhall
